  18. What is LanguageLab?
  19.  
  20. Vocab LanguageLab, the latest language study software from ‘Cab Software,
  21. combines the acclaimed “Vocab” language program with a multimedia authoring
  22. suite.
  23.  
  24. The result is an extremely versatile software bundle offering all the tools
  25. needed to create exciting presentations combining audio, video, pictures,
  26. text, slide shows, word lists, tests and more.

  29. Getting Started With LanguageLab
  30.  
  31. To create multimedia "pages" with LanguageLab, run the LanguageLab Author
  32. application.
  33.  
  34. To use the Author, drag and drop elements from the Author's toolbar into your new page and double-click to edit them. Files can also be dragged directly into LanguageLab windows.

  36. For detailed information on each element, Vocab includes both Apple Help (for MacOS 8.5 and newer) and a Tutorial. To use Apple Help, choose Author Help from the Help menu in LanguageLab Author. To view the Tutorials, open the Tutorials folder.

  39. Registering the LanguageLab Demo

  41. The demo version of LanguageLab Author does not allow saving of documents. To enable saving, you must register. Registration costs just $35US and includes a license to Vocab valued at $18US.

  43. You can register online with a credit card at http://order.kagi.com/?27G . Online registration is the quickest way to register.

Alternatively, you can use the Register program included with Vocab LanguageLab to make an order form which can then be mailed or emailed.  Payment can be made by cheque, cash, Money Order, First Virtual or invoice. For more information on registering with the Register program, see the Using Register section at the bottom of this document.

  47. Registration includes FREE registration to Vocab and FREE updates to future versions of LanguageLab!

  50. Site Licensing

  52. Site licenses are available for Vocab LanguageLab and cost $290US. LanguageLab site licenses include a site license for Vocab.

  54. Site licenses are ordered in the same way as individual licenses.

  56. The terms of a site license for Vocab LanguageLab are as follows:

A Site License allows anyone located at the specified location of the purchasing organization (as agreed) to register Vocab LanguageLab (and Vocab) and use a registered copy of Vocab LanguageLab (and Vocab) on computer systems belonging to that organization and located at that location. A site license for Vocab LanguageLab costs $290US

  60. School district licenses for Vocab LanguageLab are also available. Six or more schools can receive site licenses for just $224 each! Contact sales@cabsoft.com for more information.

  74. This Vocab LanguageLab package may be publicly distributed freely in demo form, as long as no registration code or Preferences file is distributed along with it. It is illegal to distribute a registration code or registered Preferences file. It is also against the End User Agreement
  75. to distribute a modified or incomplete copy of the Vocab LanguageLab package.

THIS IS AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE USER AND ANGUS GRATTON, PETER BRAND & JOHN ELLIOTT (THE AUTHORS.) VOCAB LANGUAGELAB (THE SOFTWARE) IS PROVIDED BY THE AUTHORS IN GOOD FAITH. THE AUTHORS EXPRESSLY DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF

MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. NO COMMUNICATION OR INFORMATION FROM ANY OR ALL OF THE AUTHORS WILL CREATE A WARRANTY. THE USER USES THE SOFTWARE AT THEIR OWN RISK. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL ANY OR ALL OF THE AUTHORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES - WHETHER DIRECT, INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR OTHERWISE - RESULTING FROM THE USAGE OF THE SOFTWARE, EVEN IF THE AUTHORS HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

  96. You can use the Register program included with Vocab LanguageLab to make an order form and then print it, or email it, with your payment.

  98. If you are paying with Cash or USD Check you should print the data using the

  106. You can pay with a wide variety of cash from different countries but at
  107. present, if you pay via check, it must be a check drawn in US Dollars. Kagi
  108. cannot accept checks in other currencies.

  110. Please do not fax or email payment forms that indicate Cash, Check or
  111. Invoice as the payment method.

  113. Payments sent via postal mail take time to reach Kagi and then up to 10
  114. days for processing.

  116. After your payment has been processed you will receive an email from Kagi,
  117. if you provided an email address. Otherwise you will receive a postcard
  118. receipt. This data will include a registration code to unlock Vocab and Vocab LanguageLab.
